Call for Submissions - DEADLINE EXTENDED

Filmmakers worldwide are invited to submit short films with environmental themes (such as sustainability, protecting and repairing the environment, environmental awareness and so on) to the EcoSummit 2012 International Film Festival. The updated deadline for submissions is September 1, 2012.

Films may be submitted in the following divisions:

  • Professional

The following guidance is offered to potential entrants regarding this festival:

  • EcoSummit is an international conference with attendees from all over the world.
  • Submissions are  encouraged to be as “language independent” as possible. That is, filmmakers are encouraged to ensure that a viewer who does not speak the language used in the film can understand and follow the film.
  • Films may be submitted in any language and may include subtitles.
  • Films shorter than three minutes and longer than eight minutes in running time may not be considered.

Judging will be conducted by Jennifer Lange, curator of the film/video studio program at the Wexner Center for the Arts; Shelly Casto, director of education for the Wexner Center for the Arts; and Johnny DiLoretto, film critic and director of operations for the Gateway Film Center. Please contact Stacy Smith at or with questions about the film festival.
